According to my sister

Our blog sucks!

I apologize for not keeping it up to date.  It was nearly impossible to hold a connection from our room in Danang.  I would add all of these pictures and try to post them and the entire post would get lost…. it got very frustrating!!

We are now in Hanoi – as of yesterday – and this connection, while slow, is much more reliable so I am hoping can get caught up with the pictures this evening.  Everything is going really well and Max is adjusting to life as a “Haag.”  He’s so much fun and we spend most of our day giggling!

More later… promise!

Yes that’s right. Your blog has sucked since you guys left, especially in light what the TWO of you do for a living.
I remember seeing a coffee shop (now who do I know would stop in for a coffee???????) in Danang that said free Wi/Fi, but then again I got that information from ANOTHER BLOG….

Now let’s get some video and pictures out there

    Giggling sounds GRAND!!!!!!!

I thought of something from when we first met our kids … don’t know if it’d be right for Max or not (given age) … but perhaps get a camera — or cameras — for him (we did disposable ones so we didn’t have to fret over it being dropped/lost) so that he can take pictures of early times with you from his vantage point. Lots of the pics my kids took were of ceilings and floors — but there were some priceless ones of us, too — and the view from the vantage point of little one looking up at the world is way cool.

Still am sooooo psyched that he’s yours!!!

Thank goodness you do telephone your mom and she sends out e-mails. I was getting worried about you guys, but she assured us not to fret!!
I am so anxious to see more pictures. All the blogs have been so great and I appreciate you letting the entire world in to your most personal life via the internet. But……..now you have us spoilled!!! So, BRING ON THE PICTURES!!!

I have to say that your sister is correct (and I’m not agreeing b/c we are both the oldest) !! Though in her defense (despite the “colorful terms”), I have been anxious to learn how your transition has been and I have learned more from and seen more pictures of you on the other blogs than you have posted!!!

That being said, I loved the pictures of you at the museum and I am so thankful that it seems your new family is fairing better than the others. They have been so frank in their experiences and it has been very moving to read their day-to-day adjustments. But, each time I read theirs, I hoped that your transition was going more smoothly so I wished that when we didn’t hear anything it was b/c life was that good. It does sound like you really are growing attached to each other in a way that is forever and I am so thrilled for you. Ava looks forward to meeting her new cousin.

With much love, Ellen, Steven and Ava

    For all:

I just spoke w/Lauren and all is good. Their papers were approved faster than anyone anticipated and Max is truly a Haag. They may decide to stay to see more of the country without anything to worry about. That decision will be made today after checking with the airlines about changing their plane reservations, if at all possible.

She promised pictures and postings as soon as she can, but please know she is grateful for all of your love and best wishes. She did not realize we were all worried.

    All is well.

I was beginning to wonder, too. Who’d ever guess that it was computer problems???

Congrats on getting to the next milestone and I’m looking forward to meeting Max next time I’m in the great white north.

With over 7,000 hits on your website, I hope you’ll be able to keep up with all Max’s fans once you get home and in the routine of being new parents!! I wish you my best during your travels!
Hugs and Kisses all the way around, to all three of you!!

Max Haag. How great is that! Just wanted to let you all know that Bruce and Matt have been in touch with the occassional text and it sounds like their transition is, in fact, as great as we could hope for it to be. He says Max is perfect and makes it easy. His thrill is evident in his messages. I’m glad to hear the paperwork went through and his “Haagness” is now official as well as emotional :o )

Happy thoughts and wishes to the family and to all you caring supporters!
